Blaenau Gwent’s Glanrhyd Surgery has been recognised for the measures that it has undertaken to support patients registered at the surgery who have an unpaid caring role. It is fantastic to see the surgery actively engaging with so many other services in taking a holistic approach to unpaid carer support. Their involvement in both Compassionate Communities and support in hosting the GP Carers Engagement service is assisting unpaid carers to be recognised and to get advice and information that is relevant to their caring roles.
