ABUHB Employee Wellbeing Team achieve Carer Friendly accreditation
The Aneurin Bevan University Health Board Employee Wellbeing Team have shown their dedication to support unpaid carers by undertaking and achieving their Carer Friendly accreditation.
The team provides one to one and group interventions for the staff of ABUHB which can be accessed via self-referral. Staff wellbeing is a priority for the team who cover a large section of South East Wales, holding counselling clinics in Abergavenny, Newport, Ystrad Mynach and Cwmbran.
Throughout the accreditation process the team have been extremely proactive in increasing their understanding and support of carers. The review panel (that awarded the team’s accreditation) were particularly impressed at how the employee wellbeing team shares information about relevant, local resources that can be accessed to support carers.
This specialised knowledge and continued commitment will certainly be beneficial to the ABUHB staff.
